A long-time tradition is retuning to the Outer Banks with fireworks at Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills this July 4th. Michelle Wagner of the Outer Banks Voice gives the full scoop on what’s happening.
“The boom and illumination of fireworks on the northern beaches won’t just be coming from Nags Head and Manteo this Fourth of July.
After a four-year absence of pyrotechnics at Avalon Pier, Kill Devil Hills will bring back its colorful display, much to the delight of residents and visitors.
Commissioners late last year awarded a $20,000 contract to the popular Zambelli Fireworks, which has put on displays for the opening ceremonies of the Kentucky Derby and the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration.”
