A woman takes what is alleged to be a stolen car to an island where the only way on or off is via ferry, then takes the police on a high speed chase. “A Carteret County woman is in custody following a high-speed chase on Ocracoke Island Saturday afternoon.
Tara E. Cranmer, 34, of Gloucester, was held in lieu of $22,000 bond for two felony and three misdemeanor offenses, said Capt. Jason Daniels of the Hyde County Sheriff’s Department.”
