Sunday was a day of rest at The Lost Colony’s Waterside Theatre, but this certainly won’t be the case when The Waterside Concert Series begins this summer.
Taking advantage of Sunday as a day off for Lost Colony actors, the venerable outdoor theatre company has created the The Waterside Concert Series with five shows scheduled through August. Scheduled to appear so far are: 1964: The Tribute, June 15; Made In Carolina: Featuring The Red Clay Ramblers & Molasses Creek June 29; The Lovin’ Spoonful, July 20; Jars Of Clay, August 3; and Marty Stuart & The Fabulous Superlatives, August 17.
“The Lost Colony is excited to make its third concert announcement in the PNC Presents: Live At The Waterside Concert Series. Jars Of Clay, a Christian rock band from Nashville, will be performing at the Waterside Theatre on August 3 at 8 PM. The band’s name is derived from a bible verse translation. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1995. “Jars of Clay” has since reached multi-platinum certification according to the RIAA. The single “Flood” peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #12 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart, and was the band’s biggest secular radio hit.”
