Building appears to be a total loss.
Sad news from the Outer Banks. The Christmas Mouse in Nags Head, an icon of gifts for visitors for over 30 years was severely damaged by fire yesterday. This blog from Brindley Beach Vacations did a good job of describing what happened.
“For 32 years the Christmas Mouse store in Nags Head has been a part of the Outer Banks. Hopefully that will continue, but the fire that consumed the building today puts its future in doubt.
The building was unoccupied at the time the fire began, sometime around 2:00 p.m. By the time the blaze was noticed, flames had reached the roof, and with the strong south wind blowing today, the fire spread quickly.”
