Damaged fence allows Corolla Wild Horses to wander south from Carova.

You can’t keep a wild horse down…or maybe that’s penned up. It seems damage to the fence that runs from sea to sound and keeps the Corolla Wild Horse herd away from the danger in Corolla is damaged. Jeff Hampton, writing for the Virginian Pilot has the story.

“Currituck County’s wild horses are roaming into Corolla village again, forcing a daily roundup through lawns and parking lots to herd them back to safety.

The horses make their way through or around a deteriorating fence that crosses from ocean to sound. It’s intended as a barrier to keep horses in the four-wheel drive area of the Currituck Outer Banks.”
