No one seems completely sure what Tropical Storm Erika is going to do next. The latest reports seem to take it over Florida as a tropical storm, but even that is being debated. This article in the Outer Banks Voice by Rob Morris, takes a look a the possible scenarios.

“Forecasters are hedging their bets on the future of Tropical Storm Erika as near-term weather conditions are keeping the system in check while long-range computer models depict a more confusing outlook for the East Coast and North Carolina.
The next day or two should provide a better sense of whether the fifth named tropical storm of the season poses a threat here. At least four deaths have been confirmed on the Caribbean island of Dominica from mudslides triggered by heavy rains.”
